The primary difference between standard marble and Tabla lightweight marbles lies in the construction and weight. Standard 2 cm thick marble weighs approximately 57 kg/m², making it heavy and difficult to handle. In contrast, our Tabla lightweight marble slabs weigh less than 20 kg/m². This significant reduction in weight is achieved by bonding a thin layer of marble to a reinforcement material, such as aluminum honeycomb, porcelain, glass, or polyester-based materials. These reinforcements not only make the slabs lighter but also much more robust and durable. The combination of lightweight design and enhanced strength makes our slabs ideal for a variety of custom projects, offering greater flexibility in use while maintaining the luxurious look of natural marble.

The standard sizes vary depending on the material. Larger sizes available upon request, limited by the marble slab size.

These treatments create a barrier against fluids and should be reapplied by the customer every six months, or more frequently if the table is used extensively. While these protectors offer short-term defense against spills, it’s important to clean up any liquids immediately to prevent them from penetrating the stone.
